A Day at Camp

Minimize

Each day at Camp Centennial is jam packed with zany and creative activities. We can’t give you a complete explanation of what your little camper will be up to while they are here, because we never know what our imaginative (and don’t worry, they are well trained for safety) staff might come up with next! But here is a little explanation of some the things that they might do.

7:45 – 8:30
First counsellor arrives at 7:45 every morning and the rest show up by 8. Counsellors wait at the cabins to greet their campers for the day!
8:30 – 8:35
OPENING!!!!! The day begins with a not-so-traditional tradition rendition of ‘Oh Canada!’
8:35 – 12:00
The mornings have a number of planned camp wide activities, ranging from Sing Song to games that include the entire camp. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays all have activities organized so that the entire camp has some kind of large scale session. Your camper will spend the rest of the morning with their individual groups. These activities often take advantage of our facilities including: rock climbing, rapelling, canoeing, and rope course.
12:00 – 12:30
                Lunch time!
12:30 – 2:30
Pool time! We have full access to Centennial Beach and it’s a fun part of every day (weather permitting)
 2:30 – 4:15
More time with the individual groups. The afternoon will be spent playing games and being very active. Centennial park has a number of fields for wacky wild games. Capture the flag and thunder duck heist are just a few of the favourites!
4:15
With every afternoon comes closing. This is a chance for us all to say good bye to each other for the day and sing our way. After that it's time for camper pick up!
